🎯 Objectives
Swecha Mahila Sangam works with a clear vision — to promote equality, dignity, health, education, and empowerment of women and children in vulnerable and marginalized communities. Our objectives serve as guiding principles for all our programs, community initiatives and partnerships.
1. Promote Women’s Health & Well-Being
To ensure accessible and affordable health services for women and their families, including reproductive, sexual and mental health care. We focus on preventive health, awareness, counselling, and linkage to government health schemes and treatment facilities.
2. Strengthen Education & Learning Opportunities
To improve educational access and learning outcomes for children, especially those from poor and vulnerable families. We aim to reduce school dropouts, provide remedial learning, distribute study materials, and promote digital and life skills.
3. Enhance Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment
To equip women with vocational and entrepreneurial skills that enable them to earn sustainable incomes. Through skill training, micro-enterprises, and market linkages, we support financial independence and self-reliance.
4. Facilitate Legal Awareness & Access to Justice
To build legal literacy and provide practical assistance in accessing justice and entitlements. Our paralegal teams, legal aid camps and awareness workshops empower women to know, claim and protect their rights.
5. Expand Social Protection & Identity Access
To help women and their families obtain essential identity documents (Aadhaar, ration cards, voter IDs) and benefit from government schemes like pensions, health insurance, and food security programs. We aim to reduce exclusion and ensure entitlement-based dignity.
6. Build Leadership & Collective Power
To nurture leadership among women in sex work and other vulnerable communities so they can represent their needs, engage with stakeholders, and advocate for rights, safety, and justice. Leadership development includes training, peer support networks and participation in decision-making forums.
7. Promote Equality & Gender Justice
To address stigma, discrimination and violence against women through awareness drives, advocacy, and community mobilisation. We aim to promote respect, inclusion and equal opportunity across all sections of society.
8. Strengthen Institutional Systems
To ensure effective governance, accountability and sustainability within the organisation. This includes capacity building of staff, transparency in financial management, and continuous learning through monitoring and evaluation.
9. Foster Partnerships for Change
To collaborate with government bodies, civil society, private sector and international agencies for scaling impact. Partnerships are built on shared vision, transparency, and mutual respect for community-driven solutions.
10. Respond to Emergencies & Crises
To provide timely humanitarian assistance to women and families affected by disasters, displacement or crises. Emergency responses include food, hygiene kits, temporary shelter and psychosocial support, ensuring dignity and safety.
🌍 Long-Term Vision
To create a society where women live with dignity, equality, and security — free from violence, discrimination and deprivation — and are active agents of social change and development.
Empower. Educate. Elevate.
